Planning & Zoning
The Planning Division:
- Guides and facilitates development within the City of Liberty.
- Reviews applications and plans regarding land use matters.
- Prepares current and future land use plans.
- Maintains, implements and updates the principles created within the Comprehensive Plan, Blueprint for Liberty.
- Enforces development standards within the Unified Development Ordinance related to the use and development of property within the City.
- Processes development applications to ensure they adhere to all applicable City Codes and standards and, when appropriate, comply with appicable State law.
- Makes recommendations to City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission.
